Eve Van Dyke is an Emmy award winning filmmaker and writer.

Starting her career in music videos, she now works across narrative, documentary, and commercial projects. After living in Mexico City as a Fulbright scholar she moved on to work with The New York Times and VICE on HBO where she won an Emmy Award in 2019 for Zero Tolerance, a documentary about the family separation crisis on the U.S/Mexico border. Her documentary Pause was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick and Route to Connection, a short for AT&T, is now streaming on Amazon Prime. It premiered at Tribeca and was nominated for a 2025 Webby Award. In 2023 she directed two episodes of SHADOWLAND for Radical Media which aired on Peacock.

In 2024 she completed a mentorship under Emmy award-winning director Karyn Kusama as part of the DGA Squad program. Her narrative short film REJECTORS (2019), premiered at the Oscar-qualifying festival Hollyshorts and DIGESTIF (2021) premiered at the Austin Film Festival. Her screenplay for BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, starring Sosie Bacon (Smile) and Suzanna Son (Red Rocket) was selected for the 2025 Tribeca Creators Market. Her other scripted work has been selected for the Gotham TV Series Lab and placed in the Academy Nicholl fellowship.

DOCUMENTARY REEL

ARE WE LIVING IN A SIMULATION?
In one of my favorite pieces for VICE, I worked with the incredible animation duo at Overture to create this short documentary examining Nick Bolstrom’s theory.

PAUSE
Co-directed with Gillian Zinser, we put this together during the height of the pandemic in an effort to create a reminder of the power of our communion as we experienced this unique duality of both extreme isolation and extraordinary connectivity in New York during the lockdown.

ROUTE TO CONNECTION
2025 Webby Award nominee. Made for AT&T with ATTN:, the short film chronicles how the lack of connectivity impacts the lives of a high school student, an educator and a small business owner. Streaming on Amazon Prime.

SHADOWLAND EPISODES 5 + 6
I directed two episodes of SHADOWLAND, a docuseries that aired on Peacock that examined conspiracy theories in America and the people who believe them.
